Kirk is well known in two elite worlds:

The aerospace industry: In the business for 17 years, working on the James Webb space telescope for 12 of those years (set to replace the Hubble in 2018), Kirk has become known as the man to handle any big problems the other engineers can’t figure out.

 

Burning Man: Having created two stunning projects- the Mantis and the Scorpion, Kirk is known for his robust, memorable and shocking creatures. The Mantis was purchased and is now a tourist attraction in Las Vegas. The Scorpion has won best flame effects on an art car two years a row.

 

Nutshell: Seventeen years of design and building products varying from aerospace tooling, multi billion dollar space structures to large scale metal art and flame effect art.
